The NEW Treasure off the Coast Cover

Lee White is one of my favorite artists. He’s one of the primary teachers at SVS Learn which is where I take online illustration classes and have gained the majority of my art education from. He also has recently started a Patreon and through his Patreon, he offers critiques.

I was really excited about that opportunity, so I sent him the cover I made for Treasure off the Coast, written by Nathan W. Landrum. Lee was able to give me a TON of really helpful constructive criticism. The first and foremost suggestion he offered was to rework the concept in a way that better evokes drama, mystery, and excitement.

So, with that advice in mind, I totally reworked the cover from the ground up, and this is where it landed:

I’m so excited about the new cover. I feel like it’s a dramatic improvement on the old one and does the book much more justice. I’m continuing to work with Lee on other pieces, and he’s been immensely helpful, so if you’re looking for a some solid critiques on your work, I highly recommend checking out his Patreon. Also, he’s recently completed a tarot deck project called the Drifting Moon Tarot, which has some amazing artwork, so go check that out, too!

In other exciting news - Treasure off the Coast is releasing very soon! Meaning within a week! Words cannot describe how thrilled I am to see the project come to fruition.
